About Club 21

It was WEB DuBois idea that if we send the top 10% of our intellectuals off to college, they would come back to our community and help to uplift the masses of the Black community.  Well, a lot has happened since the early 1900s such as integration, changes in economies, etc. So, considering WEB DuBois’ theory in hindsight we added a platform for which the Talented 10th can come back to after college graduation and that is Club 21 (the 21st Century Block Club Network). 

Club 21 has approximately 300 Block Clubs in the City of Chicago. Club 21 coordinates programs that promote unity in the community and encourage neighbors to get to know each other. Since Club 21's inception in 2015 we have promoted: meet and greet the political candidates for local elections, Bike the Hood, Souls to the Poles, the Know Your Neighbor Program, Community Family Night at the Movies, the Community Cleanup Initiative, Block Club Parties, Block Club Meetings, Kwanzaa Celebration, Juneteenth. Training: CPR, First Aid, Mental Health 101, Alzheimers, Fire Safety. Created Youth Pods, safe youth trending opportunities with entertainment.
